Helichrysum argyrophyllum Moe's Gold

Family: Compositae
Common names: Licorice Plant
4 1/2" pot, 15/tray

The beloved licorice plant has no licorice flavor, scent or resemblance to licorice (where did that name come from?). Be that as it may, very useful for foliage effect in baskets and containers and perfectly nice by itself as a ground cover, especially in partial shade where it will brighten things up. This plant likes plenty of moisture in a well drained garden soil.

Decorative silver foliage that has more restrained growth than it's relative making it an ideal container trailing plant. Also useful as a ground cover plant because the silvery foliage is almost metallic white. Here's a tip from a friend, the foliage prefers to stay dry so try planting it near a rock and let the stems drape over the stone. Size: 4 x 15" Spacing: 8-10" Full Sun.
