This is an old-fashioned parlor plant that has come out to the garden. An upright, shrubby plant with velvety purple leaves, this plant makes a statement. Bright purple fuzz covers a 2-3" long leaf, the flowers are better pinched off because they are short lived and the orange color make this a candidate for the Queen of Clash award.
