This is a dramatic tropical shrub native to tropical Africa. If well fed and watered it makes a stunning subtle display covered with orchid-like blue/violet flowers that look like butterfly wings. Blooms all summer. Striking for the long whisker like stamens reaching out from the two-tone flowers. The foliage is deep green and solid. Size: 2-4' Spacing: 12-15" Light shade. (Limited availability in larger pots also.)
