Capiscum annuum varengata

Family: Solanaceae
Common name: varengata
4 1/2" Pot, 15/tray

The more I use these in the landscape the better I like them! For a fiery looking, yet tidy shape Medusa can’t be beat used as a neat edging. I have been growing Pretty in Purple since I first found it from Johnny’s Seed and it has so many uses in containers and as a highly ornamental bedder. Fish is so unique and is best when one comes upon it for a close-up, Black Czech is my all time favorite for the gorgeous jalapeno sized fruits that start black and deepen to a rich deep red that adds heat to cooking. C’mon and try something different.

Super variegated foliage was very showy this past fall, got lots of comments. Leaves have large patches of freckled white with purple/green backdrop. Fruits are small purple ripening to red. Size: 10-12" Spacing: 10-12"; Full Shade
