Bold ornamental with burgundy stems, maroon leaves and nodding flower bracts. Massed at the back of the border it will create a dramatic backdrop for contrasting flowers. Small songbirds love to dart in and out to eat the seed later in the summer. Also looks great with deep blues and violets like Verbena bonariensis and V. rigida or Salvia Indigo Spires.
