Abelmoschus manihotFamily: Malvaceae
Common name: Flowering Okra
4 1/2" Pot, 15/tray
Pale yellow 4" flowers with maroon eye on 3' plant are very showy. Pinch it early on to create a full, bushy plant. Groupings of more than 5 are very effective. Abelmoschus is gorgeous with Salvia quaranitica True Blue as a backdrop. This one looks great with flowers that pick up the maroon highlight. Keep seedpods from forming until the end of August for continuous bloom.
Size: 36-48" Spacing: 10-12" Full sun.
